Xiaomi packs a 1.55” TFT-LCD display in the Redmi Watch 2 Lite. The resolution has also increased slightly to 320 x 360 pixels resulting in a pixel density of 331 PPI. Brightness can be adjusted in five steps and is a maximum of 375 cd/m². This is sufficient to read the watch reasonably well even under direct sunlight. Note that; there is no ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment.
Performance and software.
This Smartwatch is powered by the Apollo 3.5 chipset which works fast. The system responds quickly to touch gestures, and apps open on touch. Scrolling through menus and apps is smooth.
- Heart rate Sensor – It measures Pulse and blood oxygen content (SpO2).
- Sleep Tracking – This smartwatch measures the different sleep phases and their length as well as the average pulse rate and the blood oxygen saturation, only if desired.
- Training recording – Redmi Watch 2 Lite offers over 100 fitness models. These include 17 professional modes like HIIT and yoga as well as 100 advanced workout modes. In addition to running, walking and cycling, activities such as trekking, swimming ( because Water resistance is up to 5 ATM) , rowing, rope skipping, dancing, and many more are also included.
- GPS and navigation – This Watch supports the common standards GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BDS. The connection establishment sometimes works quite quickly with about 15 seconds, but it sometimes lags.
For the connectivity options, you get in-built dual-satellite GPS, Bluetooth 5 for stable connection. It is compatible with Android and iOS devices.
The battery powering this wearable measures 262 mAh. According to Xiaomi, this should carry you up to 10 days which is certainly achievable in practice with minimal use and non-constant health tracking.
